My first hoody and my first pocketed item! And yes, I used a zipper and it still looks good.

I followed a pattern in a little Bernat Softee bonus book I got. The pattern is called "Chunky Jacket with Options." I made it using my mom-in-law's Softee yarn in Country Ombre and sizes 9 and 10 needles. It took me about 5 days to knit and it's got fun raglan sleeves and it's super warm.

Though I'm thrilled with the results, I think I'll try this pattern again in a more muted color as this combo is a little ostentateous for me ;P

You SHOULD be happy! That's fantastic!

The colours are brilliant. Is that you in the pic? Because even if you're used to more muted colours, the brights suit you.

Oh Wow! I really love it, very inspiring (only 5 days?) You did a wonderful job, I don't spot a flaw anywhere, and I like the pattern of color. I know Bernat is super soft and warm, too.
